Casamance

A Human Experience in the Land of the Upright People in the Villages of Gambia and Casamance: Discover Multiculturalism, Ethnographic Richness, and Environmental Diversity.

Talking about Senegambia is not just about describing a geographical space, but about a millennia-old history of coexistence and blending identities among the tribes of West Africa. For over a thousand years, this region has been a meeting point for different cultures and traditions. On this journey, you will have the chance to immerse yourself in the tribes of Senegambia, explore their natural surroundings, and uncover the ecological wealth of their territories. Further south, we will arrive at the natural region of Casamance, a territory isolated from the rest of Senegal by the Republic of Gambia, forming an enclave within the country. The “Green Casamance,” also known as the Granary of Senegal or Diola Country, is a tropical region nourished by the Casamance River, which flows from west to east.

Casamance is home to Senegal’s main ethnic tribes and offers an impressive variety of landscapes, ensuring a unique experience. From peaceful villages to paradisiacal beaches, this journey will provide an authentic immersion into the local culture. You will not only discover the landscapes but also the customs, traditions, and daily lives of the communities that inhabit this corner of Africa. Thanks to the collaboration of our local guides, you will enjoy a seamless integration between visitors and the local villages, deeply understanding their customs and experiencing firsthand the magic of Black Africa.
